Phasmophobia is a co-op horror game about trying to figure out what type of ghost is currently haunting the various maps of the game. The ghosts leave behind ‘evidence’ which you can use to determine which ghost it is. For example, freezing temperatures are left behind only by specific ghosts, meaning if you were to find sub-zero temperatures, you can already rule out half the roster. As well as having their three evidences, each ghost has different and unique abilities to all of them. For example, the Banshee picks one specific player and follows them and will only focus on them while it hunts. This helps give the game some sense of replayability, each match will be different.
find that the complexity of the ghosts is done so well that the game still feels fresh after hundreds of hours of playtime. The game’s difficulty settings allow you remove evidence, meaning instead of having three pieces of evidence, they may only have one or two. This is great because you can narrow down the ghost to maybe 3-5 types, but you must use your knowledge on how the different ghosts act to make the final decision.

In addition to this, your equipment also upgrades throughout the game, with three different tiers for each item, each increasingly better at finding and reading evidence. It will take a while before the player gets all tier-3 equipment, which can make the game a breeze.
